Dreadball Xtreme

Mantic have done it again.

Another kickstarter that has captured my imagination.

The last one they ran (Mars Attacks) left me hopeful I would be able to resist them in the future, as the game didnt appeal to me.

However Dreadball Xtreme has been put up and I have already pledged in for Rampage.

Love the idea of the Deadzone style Dreadball mat... hopefully it will translate well to standard Dreadball games as well - for ease of transport if nothing else!

The new teams look sweet, and while I currently need to decide between the Plague or Robots for my extra free team (as part of Rampage) I look forward to their future choices.

The Chovar Psychic that has been included in Rampage as a Giant already looks amazing and I can't wait to get my hands on it.

All in all, this Kickstarter looks like a blast and I strongly advise anyone that has looked at Dreadball before to consider this kickstarter as it will give you most (if not all) of what you need to get into standard Dreadball too.

I really don't understand them starting another dreadball related kickstarter already. They don't even have dreadball itself clean and balanced, and now jumping onto another version.

Big cash grab if you ask me - I don't think these games will last very long if they don't have someone focused on getting them to a balanced playable level. When will all the game balance issues in dreadball get fixed if Jake is constantly making games for the next kickstarter and leaving the playtesting and living FAQ to the community?

Srsly? Can they do anything without kickstarting it?

From what I have played of Dreadball it is a very balanced game.

Some teams are a lot more challenging than others for your, but all in all, still pretty well balanced (better than other companies that could be named)

Might be a big cash grab, but it does mean I get more bang for my buck especially given that I will likely be buying this all anyway.

I understand peoples frustration at constant kickstarters, but I have spent around £200 in total on Mantic Kickstarters, and have well over £400 of stock... how is that bad for me as the consumer?
