40k Custodes Size Comparisons

I was asked a few weeks ago for some size comparison shots of the Allarus Custodes, so while you can't see them in the picture above, they are in the pictures below These shots give you some view of the scale creep, what I needed to include here was a Tactical Marine to complete this view, although all my tacticals are on 32mm bases so do look that little bit bigger. Below you can see a Custodian Guard & Allarus Custodian side by side, the Allaraus model is a little bulkier than the Custodian Guardian, but I dont think he is that much taller - his plume helps but head to head its about the same. Adeptus Custodes - 1000 points

So this list is from a quick fun game last friday. 1000 points low model count, but getting some new models on the table top! HQ: Shield Captain on Dawneagle Jetbike - Warlord: Superior Creation, Relic: Auric Aquilis, Misericordia, Hurricane Bolter Troops: Custodian Guard (3), Guardian Spear x 2, Sentinel Blade & Stormshield x 1, Misericordia x 2 Elites: Contemptor- Galatus Dreadnought Custodian Wardens (4), Guardian Spear x 2, Castellan Axe x 2 Vexilus Praetor in Allarus Terminator Armour, Misericordia, Vexilla Magnifica Fast Attack: Ventari Custodians, Misericordia x 3, Kinetic Destroyer & Tarsus Buckler x 2, Venatari Lance x 1 This rocks in at 1,000 points on the head with a whopping 4 command points sitting spare. It also brings me a total of 13 models to the table top, so we shall see how it performs! It played against a Nid list with a total of 13 models (Old One Eye & the Swarmlord being two of them)! Game...

Tyranid Fever...

So with the new Codex gripped firmly in my hands (I pinched by Brothers), I sat down and began to read. I have to say that the Codex has not let me down in the way that I was worried it was. Sure it invalidated all of my armylists, and most of the models I have (I am looking at you Carnifexs) however the other options do more than make up for it... at least in my opinion. I look forward to fielding a new shiney army full of scary creatures... I dont look forward to Space Wolves shooting the bugjuice out of my bugs but that is by the by. So what is the point of this post I hear you cry (well I imagine you are thinking this by now), well as with most people I am going to post a couple of lists that I intend to try out, then I am going to get back to you all and tell you how well they did or did not perform. Intially I wanted to use none of the new units and just stick with all of the previous editions models and options, just to see how it works. The list I have for this is: ...
